Meet Your Instructor...
Hi, I'm the licenced Motor Driving Instructor (MDI) behind Learners Nexus.
I provide calm, structured and practical driving lessons across Adelaide’s northern suburbs, helping students build genuine skill and confidence behind the wheel.
You'll often hear me say this - I teach two core things about driving:
• How to pass the VORT
• How to drive competently beyond test conditions
My focus isn’t just on passing the test — it’s on developing safe, independent drivers who understand the road, not just the checklist.
My previous career in the IT industry has led me to develop a lesson-tracking system that allows me to monitor each student’s progress at a glance, and then tailor lessons to their experience level and learning style. Whether you’re brand new to driving or preparing for your VORT, I’ll guide you step-by-step in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Lessons are conducted in my 2020 Kia Seltos GT-Line, with dual controls, including braking and accelerator, for added safety and support. For your assurance, I hold a current WWCC (Working with Childrens Check), RAN-EC training, Federal Police Check, and am a licensed Motor Driving Instructor (MDI) authorised under the Registrar of Motor Vehicles (SA Department for Infrastructure and Transport).
If you’re looking for quality instruction, honest feedback and a structured plan to get you test-ready, book your first lesson and let’s get started.

Testimonials
Mitch L
I had Martin as my driving instructor for six lessons, and in that short time he taught me all the most important aspects of driving. He was always reassuring and struck the perfect balance between humour and clear guidance, which helped me feel more confident every time I got behind the wheel. I would highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive.
Jayden P
As someone who was extremely nervous about learning to drive, I really appreciated how respectful Martin was. He made me feel welcome, listened to my concerns, and changed the lesson to suit how I learn best with my ASD and ADHD without stressing me out.
Emma R
Martin is a fantastic driving instructor. He explains things clearly, stays calm even when I make mistakes, and makes each lesson feel comfortable and productive. He made it fun and I felt much more confident after each session.

I highly recommend Learners Nexus. Martin was patient, professional, and really knows how to teach in a way that makes sense. He helped me and my son understand what we needed to improve about his driving without making him feel stressed. He gave me tips on how to train him and where to do it safely while out on the roads. It was money well spent, as he didn't drag out the lessons.
Aisha K
A great instructor who genuinely cares about helping students improve. Martin is friendly, knowledgeable, and very easy to learn from. I felt well prepared and much more confident behind the wheel.
